Jacksonville Suns President Peter “Pedro’’ Bragan Jr. has been driven to make the 31st and final year of the Bragan family’s ownership of the Southern League team a special one for baseball fans in Northeast Florida. The Suns’ season-long “Pedro’s Last Dance” promotion has featured giveaways and events that highlight the Bragans’ Jacksonville legacy. One of the most popular promotions the Suns annually schedule takes place Friday as “Used Car Giveaway Night’’ will be held at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Originally scheduled to take the field at 7 p. m. , the Suns and Mobile BayBears will be playing two seven-inning games starting at 5:05 p. m. due to rainouts this week. Bragan’s 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ will headline a six-vehicle lineup of used vehicles that will be given away Friday. In addition to the Tahoe, used vehicles to be given away include a 1993 Ford F-150 pickup owned by the late Peter Bragan Sr. the Bragan family’s 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. According to General Manager Chris Peters, the used car giveaway will start in-between the two games, but no earlier than 7:05, and finish during the second game.
