STAUNTON — The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who fled a traffic stop Thursday night, shortly before a pickup was stolen from a nearby farm. Jackson was in a car that was stopped shortly before midnight Thursday in the 200 block of Cedar Green Road just outside of Staunton after the vehicle was spotted weaving. The car pulled over but Jackson fled the scene, leaving an unidentified woman and a child behind, the sheriff's office said. On Friday, the sheriff's office received a report that a dark green, 1992 Ford F-250 pickup was stolen from a farm in the 500 block of Cedar Green Road, near where Jackson was last seen.
