Neal Coles (OMS CF4), Simon Clemow (Force PT) and Andrew Short (OMS PR) all kept the pressure on the leading pair with first runs in the 39 second bracket although Lee eclipsed their best efforts by a mere two-tenths of a second, The fine weather... Action resumed with Thorne posting an improved time on his second run at 38. 52, narrowly shading Lee’s opening effort by just eight-hundredths of a second, whilst both Coles and Clemow also improved. Neither could threaten Lee however, who rose to Thorne’s challenge with a supreme effort, taking over 5-tenths off his first time to post FTD at 38. 04 seconds.
