Vycom Donates Seaboard Material to Northern Colorado Search & Rescue - PR Newswire (press release)

/PRNewswire/ -- Vycom, a division of CPG International, has donated its rugged Seaboard HDPE material for the Northern Colorado Search & Rescue's (NOCO SAR) emergency vehicles. The material was used in two Ford F150 trucks as equipment consoles that contain lights, sirens, three radios and USB ports. "Seaboard HDPE was the perfect alternative to metal because it is low-maintenance and has a nice texture for vehicle consoles. It also is very easy to work with and fabricate," said , Operations Captain, NOCO SAR. Marra, who is a machinist by trade, was able to save NOCO SAR additional labor costs by fabricating the Seaboard consoles himself. As part of Vycom's Seaboard line, the HDPE plastic material provides superior performance where water, UV exposure and other harsh elements are present. "We are very grateful that Vycom donated this material to save some wear and tear on our emergency vehicles," said Marra. NOCO SAR/ESS is a 100% un-paid volunteer non-profit which relies on donations to continue to operate. For more information about Vycom's Seaboard products, visit www.
