Hot rods shine at rainy River Park - Lebanon Express

The Rollin’ Oldies car club hosted the free rain-or-shine event for a 23rd straight year, capping it with the Best-in-Show awards. It wasn’t Mumper’s first trophy in five years coming to the Lebanon cruise from Turner, but it was the first time he took home the show’s top honors. Blane Blood, of Albany, was the Best-in-Show Car winner with his 1936 Chevrolet sedan. Blood and his rare two-door Chevy coach, however, endured the weather to take a second Best-in-Show trophy and his first at the Lebanon show. It took seven years for Blood to complete the all-steel custom, which features a four-inch chopped top, modern suspension and small-block Chevy power plant. Best Ford: Greg Smith, Keizer — 1957 Ford Ranchero. Best Mopar: Jerry Mumper, Turner — 1937 Plymouth Sedan Delivery. Best GM: Ken & Lynn Parsons, Salem — 1970 Oldsmobile 442.
