The tractor pull was one of more than a dozen events at Saturday and Sunday’s Empire State Antique Truck Association’s Truck, Tractor and Construction Equipment Show. Most of the entries were John Deeres. Pfalzer said he didn’t know how many pounds he’d pulled with his 1953 John Deere. Pfalzer, a mechanic at cheesemaker Yancey’s Fancy, took first place in another division, with his 1946 John Deere A. Le Roy resident George Pursel is president of Empire State Antique Truck Association. He said about 200 vehicles entered the 29th annual show, including ones from as far away as California, Las Vegas and Long Island. They include truck drivers, lawyers, sheet metal workers, plumbers, merchants and mechanics, Pursel said. Duell is the association’s photographer, a volunteer position he’s held since 2006. “I’m over 100,000 pictures,” he said. Duell showed up Saturday with two digital cameras and one vehicle, a 1970 Chevy CST pickup. He said he owned four full-size Chevy pickups as he grew up in the 1970s. “I wish I had them.
