Ford Trail Tests 2017 F-150 Raptor - PickupTrucks.com

New torque management transfer case/4x4 system. This is what an offroad package should be. Also it doesn't look like this as they have already shown the real exterior at the auto shows. We will test it for 2 more years to get rid of that squeaky noise. Definitely before 2017. I know for sure ,it's not from 10 speed. It could be from speakers to simulate tire slippage on asphalt road. The 10 cameras software doesn't recognize mud yet. It has some bugs we are working on. Last time I drove this model ,I could hear birds singing in LA downtown from the speakers. What a nice truck. It scares squirrels of the road, when they see their own mirror. Feature I am proud to be working on for last 3 years. We needed to edit this footage heavily and make some cuts, because Raptor couldn't make it over some obstacles and we needed to pull it with Honda Foreman 350. You can see only , when Raptor is over any obstacle already, or going downhill. Raptor is light , so no problem at all and final version will make it without Honda help. Time will tell how good those new chassis are from Ford with the new Raptor. The biggest obstacle most Raptors will encounter is a speed bump in a shopping centre. I do like the Raptor, but a diesel version would be ideal and also with at least a 2500lb payload. Source: news.pickuptrucks.com
