2015 GMC Terrain a compact favorite - Wausau Daily Herald
The GMC Terrain SUV remains a favorite in the compact crossover segment, introducing drivers to the brand’s professional grade design and features in a well-appointed vehicle. For 2015, the Terrain lineup introduces two new features - OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, which provides a mobile hub for drivers and passengers to stay connected. Offered in SLE and SLT trim levels, standard power for the Terrain is generated by the Ecotec 2. 4L four-cylinder, which also features direct injection and camshaft phasing to optimize performance and fuel efficiency. Torque is communicated to the street through a Hydra-Matic 6T45 six-speed automatic transmission with an “Eco” transmission mode that alters shift points to improve fuel economy. Torque for the V6 is transferred to the pavement through a Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission. The Terrain is built on a body-integral structure with single-piece body side stampings and targeted applications of high-strength steel. The long wheelbase and wide tracks reduce body roll for a more stable driving experience. Inside the spacious passenger cabin, premium interior features have been designed with high standards of functionality and materials that exude a commanding and structured feel.
