Charges pending in fatal Dickenson crash - Kingsport Times News
The VSP reports a 2014 Buick Encore was traveling west on Rt. 83 when it ran off the right side of the road onto the gravel shoulder. The driver, 76-year old Garnett L. Mullins of Clintwood, overcorrected, causing the car to cross back into the roadway, over the center line and strike head-on an eastbound 2013 Subaru Impreza. Mullins was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Her two passengers, a 16-year old female and a 13-year old female, were also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Subaru, Ronnie D. Mullins, 59, of Clintwood, was also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
