Charges pending in fatal Dickenson crash - Kingsport Times News

The VSP reports a 2014 Buick Encore was traveling west on Rt. 83 when it ran off the right side of the road onto the gravel shoulder. The driver, 76-year old Garnett L. Mullins of Clintwood, overcorrected, causing the car to cross back into the roadway, over the center line and strike head-on an eastbound 2013 Subaru Impreza. Mullins was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Her two passengers, a 16-year old female and a 13-year old female, were also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Subaru, Ronnie D. Mullins, 59, of Clintwood, was also transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Subaru reported the biggest sales gain, up 10. 5 percent over the previous July. General Motors, Fiat Chrysler and Hyundai all saw 6 percent sales increases, while Honda and Nissan saw 8 percent gains. Toyota's sales were flat, hurt by a big dip in car sales. Luxury sales were up 10 percent in the first six months of this year. in the same time period, mass-market vehicle sales rose just 3 percent, according to car shopping site TrueCar. Sales of midsize sedans have been struggling as Americans pass them over for small SUVs, so automakers enticed buyers with zero-percent financing deals on the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima and other sedans.
