It offers more than 150 modern design pieces and artworks, both from the museum’s collection and over 30 lenders from across the United States. Some of the pieces featured are from St. Louis. the artifacts on display include a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette, built in St. Louis. “If the World is a Fair Place, Then…” The Raqs Media Collective, a group of artists and theorists based in New Delhi, has now used 500 of those responses and created a sculptural installation of 40 stainless-steel bands encircling tree trunks in... “Larry Krone: The Best, Best Everything. ” It’s the first major exhibition by multimedia artist and St. Louis native Krone in this area since 2006. The New York-based conceptual artist uses thrift-store textiles, craft materials, graphics, songwriting, performance and whatever else comes... “Painting Prayers: the Calligraphy of Salma Arastu,” at the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art, draws on that unusual background.
