Mom helps cops catch a kidnapping suspect - KZTV Action 10 News

A local woman is being hailed a hero after she helped police find a man accused of abducting a 7 year old boy. She said that's when the white Dodge Avenger pulled up and that's when she couldn't believe her eyes. She saw Channing Eloy Galbraith and Nicholas Gomez who were the focus of an Amber Alert. "The man was walking across the parking lot, looking at me because I was the only person out here with the little boy. She said "I parked over there, a few cars away so I could see because I had a good shot of the car. He was in there 10-15 minutes and he comes walking across the parking lot with the little boy. Officers arrested Galbraith in the parking lot of CCFD Fire Station 7 on the 3700 block of South Staples Street. The Alice Police Department issued the Amber Alert just after 11:30 AM. According to police, the boy's mother told them she and her boyfriend, Channing Eloy Galbraith got into an argument Wednesday afternoon. After their argument, Galbraith left with her 7 year old son, Nicholas Gomez, to fix a bike but they never returned. So, the woman went to the police station around 10:30am and told them Galbraith was in her white, 2009 Dodge Avenger. Source: www.kztv10.com
