Hearing delayed for woman accused of hiding son's body in car - The Virginian-Pilot

A preliminary hearing for the Richmond woman charged with concealing her son's body in the trunk of her car was postponed from Tuesday until later this year. Slaton was arrested June 6 after a state trooper pulled her over for expired state tags on Interstate 64 in Hampton. When the trooper searched the trunk of her black Ford Mustang, he found a decomposing body concealed in two trash bags and wrapped with duct tape, according to court documents. State police said the whereabouts of Slaton's son, Quincy Jamar Davis, cannot be accounted for since 2004. A missing-person report was never filed. Slaton is charged with one felony count of concealing a body. Police have said additional charges are pending. According to a bail determination sheet filed in court, Slaton has prior arrests on charges of domestic assault in 1997 and domestic assault and battery in 2002, although it wasn't clear where those cases were filed.
