Man jailed in 2 Bibb County killings now charged in holdup of fast-food restaurant - AL.com

A Centreville man already charged with capital murder in the slaying of two men in Bibb County last week is now charged with another crime. Montevallo police today charged 21-year-old Manley Deontay Bray with first-degree robbery in that city. Police say Bray robbed the McDonald's there at 10:30 p. m. on Saturday, July 25. That holdup happened just two days before police say Bray robbed a man of his SUV, and fatally shot two other men with whom he had been hanging out. Bray is charged in the slayings of Tevin Rutledge, 19, of Brent and Lequan Dalon Clayton, 27. Their bodies were found in Brent near an Alabama Power substation on July 27. Bray fled to Tuscaloosa after the killings, where an officer tried to pull... Bray refused to stop when the officer turned on his emergency lights, and led police on a chase through central Tuscaloosa that reached speeds of almost 100 miles per hour, according to a TPD spokesman. Court records say he robbed a man at gunpoint, also on July 27, of his 2008 GMC Yukon Denali. Source: www.al.com
