2 pedestrians injured, driver arrested for DUI in crash near Las Vegas Strip - Las Vegas Review-Journal
Two pedestrians were seriously injured and a man was arrested for driving under the influence after a three-vehicle crash Sunday night near the Strip, according to Las Vegas police. Two people were crossing Harmon in a crosswalk when a 2007 GMC Yukon, westbound on Harmon, struck the rear ends of , police said. The impact forced the Chrysler into the crosswalk, striking the pedestrians, a 64-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man. The pedestrians, who police said are from Pierre, South Dakota, were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that included broken bones. The 38-year-old driver of the Chrysler also was taken to Sunrise with injuries, police said. The driver of the GMC, 35-year-old Guadalupe Derek Carbajal, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, police said.
