Driver charged in 2014 accident that killed 20-year-old - Newnan Times-Herald

Following a long investigation by the Georgia State Patrol, a man involved in a three-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old woman last year was charged with vehicular homicide this week. Devin Eugene McAdams, 29, was booked into the Coweta County Jail on Tuesday on charges of vehicular homicide and following too closely, both misdemeanors, from an accident that occurred on June 26, 2014. About 1:15 p. m. that day, McAdams was driving his 2013 Isuzu NPR westbound on Highway 16 when he struck the rear bumper of a 1999 Honda Passport driven by Hobbs, according to Franka Young with the Department of Public Safety. The force of the collision pushed the Passport into the oncoming lane of traffic, and a 1997 Ford LGT CONVTNL F pickup truck struck Hobbs head-on. Hobbs, her 13-year-old sister and 2-year-old daughter were in the Passport. The 54-year-old male driver and 33-year-old female passenger in the Ford pickup truck were also injured and transported to the hospital, but were released a day after the accident.
