Dimico Layne, 32, was headed north in the southbound lanes of Route 29 when he crashed into another car. The driver of the Honda CRV that Layne crashed into, Jessica Frye, was taken to UVA Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. A Lynchburg man has been charged following a two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday (Aug. Four individuals – including two children - were involved in the crash which occurred on U. S. Route 29/Lynchburg Expressway at approximately 9:31 p. m. The crash took place south of Route 210/Old Town Connector. A 1997 Honda Accord, driven by Dimico L. Layne, 32, of Lynchburg, was traveling north in the southbound lanes of Route 29 when it struck a 2005 Honda CRV. Dimico Layne was charged with DUI and driving on a revoked license. He was taken by ambulance to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda CRV, Jessica M. Frye, 28, of Lynchburg was also transported by ambulance to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later transferred to UVA Medical Center. There were two passengers inside the car - twin 18-month girls - but they did not require medical attention at the scene.
