Man pleads guilty to DUI for crash that killed 21-year-old Va. Beach man - 13newsnow.com

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va (WVEC) -- Robert Glenn Horton pleaded guilty Tuesday in Norfolk Circuit Court to 1 count of Involuntary Manslaughter (DUI). He was charged following the a two vehicle wreck back in July of 2014 that resulted in the death of Tyler Carnes. 21 year-old Tyler Carnes of Virginia Beach was driving east on I-64 on Thursday night when his 1998 Honda Civic experienced mechanical trouble west of the Twin Bridges and east of the I-264 interchange. As he waited for help to arrive, a 2001 Ford Explorer ran off the road to the left and struck the Honda Civic. Police say Carnes suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The driver of the Explorer was identified as 47 year-old Robert G. Horton of Norfolk. Horton was charged with driving under the influence, 2nd offense, and taken to Norfolk City jail where he received a $1500 secured bond. I mean he didn't deserve that, no one deserves that,' she said. Police said they'll present the case to the Commonwealth's Attorney to determine if further charges are warranted.
