Chrysler recalls another 67000 Dodge Ram trucks - UPI.com

Chrysler is recalling nearly 67,000 manual transmission Dodge Ram pickup trucks in response to problems with the model's clutch ignition interlock switch. "An investigation by FCA US engineers discovered switches in certain model year 2006 and 2007 pickups may be equipped with spring wire that differs from wire used in previous switches," Chrysler announced in a press release. Included in the recall are Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups, Dodge Dakotas and Mitsubishi Raiders, all manufactured between July 2005 and July 2006 with model years 2006 and 2007. One person has already died as a result of the faulty... This marks the second Dodge Ram recall issued by Chrysler in December, after the automaker announced a loosely fitted nut may cause the rear axle to seize on 257,000 Dodge Ram pickups built between January 2004 and August 2005.
