Y. -- A 19-year-old from Eltingville told police he was trying to avoid a squirrel when he drunkenly crashed his car into a utility pole and a guardrail early Sunday morning, authorities allege. Robert Linardo, 19, of the 100 block of Figurea Avenue, also told police he had imbibed Grey Goose vodka and "two Jack and Cokes" before getting behind the wheel, police allege. He crashed his vehicle, a 2002 Hyundai XG350 L, at the intersection of Arthur Kill Road and East Service Road, just before 2 a. m. , police allege. Source: www.silive.com
