Fans of off the road vehicles have been tantalized by the thoughts of a Jeep pick-up ever since Jeep did away with the Comanche two decades ago. We have seen them playing and teasing us with concept models and the most well-known of these was the Jeep J-12 which they revealed for the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari. Recently the CEO of Jeep did in fact admit that the pick-up belongs in their portfolio, however while it does seem a great idea to have a Jeep pick-up on paper, he did stress that it didn’t mean that it would become a reality anytime soon. He said that Jeep has higher priorities at the moment but that it didn’t mean that they don’t want to work on it. So for the time being Jeep is not working on a Jeep pick-up which is a disappointment but it hasn’t been ruled out entirely. Jeep SUVs have been selling very well and the pick-up may be something that Jeep will want to bring back within their next five year plan. Just to make enough Ram 1500s the Warrant Truck Assembly runs six days a week and voluntary on Sundays. It’s not likely that we will see a Jeep based from the Ram full sized pick-up. One person killed in head-on collision west of Edmonton - Edmonton Journal

At approximately 3:45 a. m. Sunday, a Nissan Pathfinder collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck, trapping both drivers inside their vehicles. Stony Plain RCMP believe the Pathfinder crossed the centre line into the path of the truck and that alcohol was a factor. Parkland County Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to get the drivers out. The 45-year-old driver of the Pathfinder, from Parkland County, died on the scene. The 28-year-old driver of the truck, from Leduc, was taken to the University of Alberta Hospital with serious injuries. Police: Woman steals ex's truck, tries to run over him - Detroit Free Press

A 24-year-old Howell-area woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly stealing her ex-boyfriend’s pickup -- which she used to try to run him over -- and leading police on two chases. The incident began around 8:30 p. m. when Howell police received a report that someone stole a pickup and boat trailer from the Thompson Lake boat launch. Howell Police Chief George Basar said an officer tried to stop the suspect, who was driving the 2010 Dodge Ram pickup, but the driver fled, leading police on a “short chase. The chase went onto Catrell, Sutton and North streets to Roosevelt Avenue and Madison Street before the suspect fled at speeds exceeding the speed limit on Michigan Avenue, which turns into Oak Grove Road. Basar said police then received a report that the Howell-area woman had returned to the Thompson Lake boat launch where she attempted to “run over the ex-boyfriend. A Michigan State Police spokesman with the Brighton post said his troopers received information from Central Dispatch around 8:45 p. m. that the woman was trying to injure the victim and when troopers went to the location, they found the suspect... When the suspect slowed the pickup to about 45 m. p. h. , troopers were able to successfully execute a precision immobilization technique maneuver that forced the pickup into a ditch near Clyde Road where the woman was taken into custody.
