ASSOCIATE EDITOR GRAHAM KOZAK: The 2014 Nissan Titan PRO-X is not, despite its lengthy list of options including something called a luxury package, a lifestyle truck. There's a distinct absence of chrome outside and no tooled leather (or tooled leather-effect vinyl) on the inside. It's a truck, a good truck, and, for over a week, it let me do all the cool truck things that I so look forward to doing (hitting the gas station not being one of them). Though devoid of woodgrain, the Nissan's interior was perfectly adequate. Nissan isn't as afraid of knobs or buttons as other automakers. the result is usually a radio/infotainment/climate control system that's easy to use and intuitive, even with gloved hands. The Titan 's setup is no different, with the exception of a 5. 8-inch touchscreen that seemed small and hard to reach from the driver's seat. The PRO-4X is supposed to be the off-road oriented Titan, and though I didn't take the truck off-road per se, it did get me from point A to point B in some truly nasty weather. It plowed through snowbanks and crossed icy, unplowed streets with ease -- and I did seek out big snowbanks and exceptionally icy streets just for the heck of it.
