EPA Rated: Diesel-Powered Mahindra TR40 Truck Gets 19/21 MPG - MotorTrend Magazine

What good is lowering emissions if you need to burn 150% the fuel to get down the road. Toyota Hilux diesels are getting 30+ MPG all over the world but they don't meet US emission standards. Diesel is the way to go. I get 42mpg mixed driving and 47-52mpg highway driving, depending on my speed from my VW Jetta. Gas power is antiquated and the reason we do not have diesel power is a money and fuel monopoly. Wake up America and embrace diesel power from the world's largest and best tractor manufacturer. Mahindra built it. They also built the Ford Escort and the Willy's Jeep. The EPA "guesses" fuel economy on most of these vehicles look at the Jetta TDI EPA 30-42mpg's most owners state they get far better numbers. I have a 2006 Liberty CRD rated by the EPA at 19-23 oddly enough I average better then 23 in town and if I'm not towing 34 highway 27 when towing a 4000 lb travel tailer. I once read they stated they only actually physically test about 20% all the vehicles they rate they rest they just us come goofy math equations that never hold up. I may be iffy on this truck but I love my diesels and maybe this one will catch on... Source: wot.motortrend.com

Reconnaissable à sa longue queue ainsi qu’à son plumage en deux couleurs (d’où l’origine du mot «pie»), cet oiseau fait près de 50 centimètres de longueur. L’Amérique du Nord compte les deux tiers des espèces de pies de la planète. Il nous reste donc la Pie à bec jaune ainsi que la Pie d’Amérique, appelée aussi Pie bavarde. Tenez-vous bien, car aucune espèce de pie ne peut nicher au Québec (même si une vingtaine d’observations ont été rapportées dans le passé). Des deux espèces de pies-grièches qui fréquentaient la province au début du siècle dernier, seule la Pie-grièche grise peut encore être observée régulièrement au Québec. En effet, la Pie-grièche migratrice, espèce en péril, a subi un tel déclin de sa population qu’on peut maintenant presque dire qu’elle est disparue du Québec. Il y a encore des populations dans l’ouest du continent, mais il faudra faire d’énormes efforts pour réintroduire l’espèce de nouveau au Québec. Le problème, c’est que même si on réussissait à l’y implanter de nouveau, les habitats de l’époque (petits champs arbustifs) ont tellement été modifiés. Source: www.canadafrancais.com
