Cunningham was riding in the rear driver’s side of a 2005 Kia Sorento, with a 16-year-old female driving and a 14-year-old passenger, when they collided with another SUV, according to LCSD. The surviving two passengers were transported by King’s Daughters Medical Center to University of Mississippi Medical Center with injuries. at the time of the transport, no injuries were life-threatening. The four were transported from KDMC to UMMC and at the time of the transport none of the various injuries were life-threatening. This 2005 KIA Sorento Has A Chevy Big Block Swap - The Art of Gears

This particular engine can be found in Chevrolet Muscle cars such as the 1970 Chevrolet Caprice, Chevelle, Monte Carlo and El Camino. ) Commonly, you can buy crate motors with all the necessary modifications to a 454 done to it. Oftentimes, you’d swap your Big Block right back into the Chevrolet, but this clearly wasn’t the case for this KIA Sorento owner. Swapping American engines into KIA Sorento’s doesn’t seem all that uncommon. This owner swapped a V8 from a late-model Corvette into his (see video below. ) And this owner on LSTech managed to also squeeze in an LS derived engine into his Sorento. Apprently, the Lambda V6 originally placed into the KIA Sorento was notorious for its high upkeep, particularly it’s valve lash adjustments. After some of these engines went kaput, with a gaping hole of an engine bay, it only seemed practical to swap in something with lots of aftermarket support for not a lot of money. Gibbs was driving a 2005 Kia Sorento. Wallace Dill, Jenna Jay said she was driving about 70 mph to 73 mph in the center lane of I-75, trying to keep pace with the Chrysler. Jay said the Kia passed her in the right lane and she believed the Kia was traveling close to 80 mph. The Kia changed into the center lane and in front of her, Jay said. Then, she said, the Kia changed to the left lane, which by that time was occupied by the Chrysler. She said the car was not in the Kia's blind spot and that Gibbs should have been able to see the Chrysler, the report states. Robert Neal told troopers he was traveling approximately 500 yards behind the Chrysler, in the left lane, and was going more than 70 mph. He said Chasteen lost control of the Chrysler by veering left and into the inside emergency lane. He said he did not see the Kia make any lane changes and that the car remained in the center lane. Neal said the Chrysler collided twice into the Kia, the report notes. Gibbs' older daughter, Jakera Postell, 18, who was a passenger in the right front seat of the Kia, told authorities she was asleep and was awakened when her mother asked her, “Did you see that.
