Kia's Sedona is new for 2015 with bold styling, and a comfortable, capable cabin. Exposed lower Latch anchors and loads of room meant two child-safety seats went in easily in the second row, but the third row's seat belt buckles caused some trouble for our booster seat. How many car seats fit in the second row. How many car seats fit in the third row. The second row's Latch anchors are exposed and easy to connect to. The third row's bench seat has one set of exposed Latch anchors on the passenger side and two tether anchors. We had no room or installation issues with the rear-facing infant-safety seat or the rear-facing convertible in the second row. The captain's chairs slide and recline for flexibility, and we didn't need to move the front passenger seat forward when installing either rear-facing car seat. In both the second and third rows, the forward-facing convertible installed easily after raising the head restraint. In the second row, the booster fit well, and the seat belt buckles are on stable bases, which should make it easier for kids to buckle up independently. Although step-in is relatively high, our test car's captain's chairs slide side-to-side, opening up a slightly larger pathway to the third row between the captain's chairs. Source: www.cars.com

If anyone questions Kelley Blue Book's devotion to real-world testing of our long-term fleet share with them the following: To better test our 2015 Kia Sedona I created human life. Ok, happenstance might've played a part but the reality is that my wife gave birth to our first child, an adorable baby girl, while I happened to possess KBB's long-term Sedona minivan. During this all-to-perfect testing scenario I was granted a unique opportunity to explore the Sedona's family-friendly bona fides. Building on those traits, the Kia Sedona is weirdly capable when cornering quickly. To avoid outing myself to hospital personnel as a dangerous ignoramus I'd practiced installing our car seat prior to baby's hospital departure. To that end, the Sedona did nothing to make life harder. Our car's power sliding doors offered easy access to child seat latch points on either side of the vehicle while ample space between the first and second row seats allowed me to install said child seat without compromising my driving position. In simplest terms, prepping the Sedona to bring home a child was a complete non-issue. Source: www.kbb.com

Also making an appearance are tri-zone automatic climate control and heated steering wheel, both of which are also standard in SX and SXL trims. Beyond the powertrain, the Sedona’s drive is predictably unexciting. The steering is light and delivers little feel (the SX’s drive mode select variable assist system is a useless gimmick), and a ride biased toward comfort makes for relaxed handling. Among the Sedona’s competitors, Honda’s Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna feel more buttoned-down on rough pavement, but drivers largely unconcerned with driving dynamics will find lots to like in the Kia’s comfortable front seats , which are finished... Those fancy second-row seats offer all kinds of adjustments, including side-to-side movement to allow either easy passage through the middle, or enough space for slim and/or agile passengers to move between seat and door opening to get to the...
