Two die in crash near Yankton - Grand Forks Herald

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Khuyen Nguyen, 52, and Ryan Nguyen, 39, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on South Dakota Highway 52. The two occupants in the other vehicle were injured. The Highway Patrol said a 2014 Toyota Camry was westbound on Highway 52 at 3:10 p. m. when the vehicle, driven by Khuyen Nguyen, drifted across the center line and into the path of an eastbound 2007 Grand Cherokee Laredo Jeep. Prosecutor: John Sheridan killed wife, slit own throat - Asbury Park Press

The four sons of former state Department of Transportation commissioner and Cooper University Health System CEO John Sheridan are disputing the Somerset County Prosecutor Office’s conclusion that their father killed their mother, then killed... The sons — Mark, Matt, Dan and Tim Sheridan — said they will be filing a lawsuit challenging the conclusions. “We will not allow our father to be convicted based on guesswork resulting from an inadequate and incomplete investigation simply because he is not here to defend himself,” they said, adding that the conclusion was “little more than rank speculation. The finding was announced early Friday afternoon by Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano after interviews with 180 witnesses and examination of scores of forensic exhibits, including DNA samplings. The medical examiner found five superficial stab wounds to the torso and neck of John Sheridan, consistent with self-infliction. Soriano’s announcement said “many possible scenarios and theories were considered” before concluding that John Sheridan fatally stabbed his wife, set the fire and committed suicide. Report: Jeep Delays Next-Gen Grand Cherokee by at Least a Year - Motor Trend

The new Grand Cherokee was originally scheduled to arrive in late 2017. Now, it is slated for late 2018 or 2019. But Jeep CEO Mike Manley doesn't seem worried, considering sales for the model remain high. Last year, numbers rose 5. 5 percent to 183,786 units sold, making it the Grand Cherokee's best year since 2005. And although we'll have to wait a long time for an all-new model, Jeep is planning a refreshed Grand Cherokee to tide us over. “If you look at the acceptance of Grand Cherokee in the marketplace today, it’s still incredibly strong,” Jeep CEO Mike Manley told reporters. As I look out in terms of what we need to achieve for that vehicle, our view was it would be better to time it later. I don't think so. The same team that designed the 2011 model is working on this. There is a separate team for Cherokee and Renegade, which both models I love for looking 100% original. While Jeep really brought it on increased 4WD capability and modernized the front suspension for better drivability, the overall look paled to the WJ. I still see plenty '99-'04s on the road, and while early examples were problematic, the...
