The GMC Pacific Cruisers Club, a chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association, is in Big Bear Friday through Sunday, Aug. 7-9, for its Into the Woods Rally. GMC only manufactured motor homes from 1973 to 1978, making about 12,000, with about 9,000 still registered worldwide today, according to Ben Price of Sugarloaf. He organized the Big Bear rally along with his wife, Mary. “It’s kind of like people owning Harleys,” Ben said. This is the first GMC motor home rally in Big Bear, but Ben said hopefully it won’t be the last. The gathering of classic RVs takes place at the Convention Center at Big Bear Lake, 42900 Big Bear Blvd. , Big Bear Lake.
