We all know how an appropriately chosen set of wheels can completely change the look of a car, provided you are not planning to turn your ride into a big ugly donk. It goes the same for the Ford Mustang, regardless which model year, and we know for sure a lot of 'Stang owners out there like their pony cars sitting on fancy rims. Anyway, the reason we touched this subject is Classic Design Concepts' new wheel line for 2005-15 Ford Mustangs, available under the Outlaw name. The company promises their rims will make your Mustang a "sure fire head turner" , but we'd like to share more info on the wheels themselves. It's all about chemistry, really: as high-pressure rollers heat, stretch, and fortify the material to the specified width and density, the molecular compound of the metal hardens in a streamline direction creating a lightweight and high-strength... What you also need to know is that these wheels will only work on a Mustang. They are hub centric which means you don't need spacers, and you can install them on any 2005-2015 MY Ford Mustang. According to Classic Design Concepts, sizes available are 20 x 9 and 20 x 10 which gives you the option of creating a staggered look, or going with the same size on all four corners. Ralph Richmond is charged with stealing a car, resisting arrest and drug possession after the chase Tuesday night that ended at I-35 and Front Street when the suspect crashed the stolen car into a semi truck. Prosecutors say he stole the 2005 Ford Mustang Tuesday morning from Edwardo Fierro, whose sister recognized his car from FOX 4's live coverage of the chase. Fierro says just before noon Tuesday, Richmond drove up beside him and began asking him questions about his car. The next thing Fierro knew, Richmond had pulled a gun on him to steal his car. And I looked up and I seen a gun like sticking out the window and I didn`t know really what to do," Fierro said. He said he felt like he was "at the wrong place at the wrong time," and a car wasn't worth his life, so he got out. Several hours later, when police spotted the stolen Mustang, prosecutors say he took off, speeding through stop signs, red lights and even driving into oncoming traffic at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour before he wrecked off the I-35 exit ramp... According to court records, this is the sixth time in the past eight months that Richmond has been charged with similar crimes of stealing cars, possessing drugs and running from cops. 2005-2014 Ford Mustang added to Takata airbag recall - TheMustangNews.com

This expanded recall follows Takata’s notification to the U. S. NHTSA last week specifying additional airbag inflators to be defective, affecting again several automakers across the industry. For Ford, affected vehicles include the 2005-2014 Ford Mustang vehicles built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant, 2005-2006 Ford GT sports cars built at Wixom Assembly Plant, 2004 Ford Rangers built at the Edison Assembly Plant and, 2004-2006 Ford... The concerns regard defects in the inflators provided by Takata which can cause metal fragments to injure a driver or passenger when the bag is deployed. As disclosed in November 2014, Ford is aware of one airbag deployment that might be related to the issue, in which a driver’s leg was injured by a metal fragment when the airbag deployed after a crash. Ford has not seen any other inflator ruptures on Ford vehicles in the field or in testing to date. A total of 1,490,764 vehicles in North America are now affected by this expanded recall, including 1,380,604 in the United States and federalized territories, 93,207 in Canada and 16,953 in Mexico. Customers can then enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to see any open safety, compliance or emissions recalls, as well as customer satisfaction programs. Source: Ford Press Release.
