Stout says he won't risk health for money - TSN

TORONTO - Fighting was very good to Sam (Hands of Stone) Stout. , recalls asking his bank for $20,000 in cash when he wanted to buy a Dodge Avenger after one of his better UFC paydays. The bank demurred and Stout had to write a cheque. For someone who used to drive a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus, a hand-me-down from his grandmother, it was a good day. Once known for having an iron chin, Stout (20-12-1) was knocked out in his last three fights. "It's kind of a tough thing to wrap your brain around," Stout said Thursday, one day after announcing his retirement. Stout's nine previous losses came via decision (six) or submission (three). Then — bang, bang, bang — it happened at the hands of K. J. Noons (in 30 seconds), Ross (The Real Deal) Pearson (six minutes 33 seconds) and, most recently, Frankie Perez (54 seconds). Stout, who has not had any concussion issues, says he was healthy and motivated for those last three fights. "I have a daughter (Logan) to think about now and I want to have a good quality of life in the future and I'm not going to risk my health for a paycheque. Arrest made in fatal shooting on Parkway East - WTAE Pittsburgh

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said the victim, Shaka Albert McGhie, 24, was shot inside a vehicle around 11 p. m. Sunday in an inbound lane of the highway near the Churchill exit. McGhie and Easley had an argument in the back seat of a Dodge Avenger that was headed west on the parkway, police said. The driver heard three gunshots, then she stopped the vehicle, got out and crossed the eastbound lanes into a residential area, police said. Easley also got out of the car, police said. A woman who had been following the car at McGhie's request saw Easley and the driver leaving the vehicle, police said. She then used their car to take McGhie to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 11:40 p. m. , police said. "The other driver left her vehicle on the parkway, jumped into the vehicle that the victim was in and transported him to Children's Hospital in that vehicle," Mungo said. Source: www.wtae.com

The Avenger's sheetmetal carries over virtually unchanged. Change is good, but the Avenger already had a lock on brand unity with its mini-Charger stance and upkicked rear quarters. The headlamps and taillamps are simplified, but the crosshairs on the Avenger's grille trade metallic ribs for meatier bright-and-black pieces. Inside, the Avenger gets a new dash, which looks great, with convincing quantum leaps in style and materials. The Avenger's dash cap is sculpted a bit more over its gauges. The lower half of the Avenger's dash seems to wear lower-grade plastic than the 200, and some of the same carryover gauges and buttons are more noticeable, surrounded by better-quality bits.
