Ram hasn’t had a true performance truck since the Dodge Ram SRT-10 was offered from 2004 through 2006. This high-performance pickup truck featured an 8. 3-liter V-10 that it borrowed from the Dodge Viper. This engine injected 500 horsepower into the Ram 1500?s utilitarian body, plus Dodge fitted it with massive wheels, sticky rubber and a lowered stance. The Ram SRT-10 was not a great seller, and only lasted a few years before getting the axe, but it still has a loyal following. Since the SRT-10?s elimination, the closest thing to a sport truck Ram has offered has been the Ram 1500 Sport. One of particular interest has been the Ram 1500, and Car and Driver recently spoke with new Ram CEO, Bob Hegbloom, and asked him if we’ll see the blown V-8 in the Ram 1500. DEARBORN, Michigan — The 2017 Ford GT will be more at home on a race course than a highway and the sticker price will be about $250,000 higher than the last Ford GT offered a decade ago, Ford said during a Monday presentation about the highly... In other words, this will be a far different car than the last-generation Ford GT. The 2017 Ford GT is the automaker's third generation, two-seat midengine supercar. Ford raced the first-generation GT in the 1960s, and that car quickly became an icon in the eyes of Ford enthusiasts. By the time production ended, the car carried a $149,995 sticker and 4,038 cars had been built. But the 2017 model has a different purpose and a considerably higher price tag than the last Ford GT, two factors that likely will reduce production volume, Jamal Hameedi, chief engineer at Ford Performance, told Edmunds. "The last generation was very much a road car," Hameedi said. The 2017 Ford GT was unveiled in Detroit this past January at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The 2016 Acura NSX , a key competitor to the Ford GT, debuted at the same show.
