Just the Facts: Hyundai is recalling 15,500 2007-'08 Hyundai Entourage minivans in the U. S. because of a corrosion problem in cold-weather states. WASHINGTON — Hyundai is recalling 15,500 2007-'08 Hyundai Entourage minivans in the U. S. because of a corrosion problem in cold-weather states, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. "A fractured control arm can result in the loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash," said NHTSA in its summary of the problem. The recall affects Entourages built from February 16, 2006 through June 30, 2008 and sold in or currently registered in cold-weather states. Hyundai dealers will either replace the lower control arms or rustproof them. Owners can contact Hyundai at (800) 633-5151. The minivans use the same control arms as the 2006-'12 Kia Sedona , which was also recalled in a separate action. Edmunds says: If you live in a cold-weather state and own the 2007-'08 Hyundai Entourage, you'll want to have it checked out with your dealer next month. Source: www.edmunds.com
