Chrysler FCA has posted notice of a voluntary recall of 2013 t0 2015 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 Crew Cab (4-door) pickup trucks to recalibrate control modules on approximately 667,406 U. S. -market trucks to prevent inadvertent side-curtain air-bag... The control modules with low side-curtain air-bag deployment thresholds Modules in certain Ram pickups may have calibrations with a low deployment threshold. FCA US had initiated an investigation following customer complaints of advertent deployments in less than 0. 005 percent of the population of these vehicles in the market. That investigation identified the cause to be a low deployment threshold (trigger) of the control module for the side-curtain air bag system in only crew cab (4-door) models of the Ram pickup trucks. Vehicles being recalled include model-year 2013-2015 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups. FCA US says they will be advising customers when they may schedule service at a dealership. Ram pickup truck owners with questions or concerns may call the FCA US Customer Care Center at 1-800-853-1403.
