Athens teen facing drug, driving charges - Online Athens
An 18-year-old Athens resident stopped by Athens-Clarke County police for driving a 2001 Jaguar S-Type at 59 mph in a 40 mph zone has been charged with speeding, driving without a license and possession of an ounce or less of marijuana. According to a police report, Edgar Delgado of 298 Anniston Drive was stopped on Jefferson River Road and told police he did not have a driver’s license. As Delgado was being booked into the Clarke County Jail, a sheriff’s deputy discovered a small amount of marijuana in one of Delgado’s shoes, according to the police report.
