Through the 2010 model year, it's been built at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi, factory where the company also builds the Armada and the Nissan Titan full-size pickup truck. The QX56 was revamped for the 2008 model year, with a new audio and navigation system, fresh front and rear styling, and a power folding third-row seat. A new interior gave it a much richer look and feel as well. For 2010, the QX56 returns with rear- or all-wheel drive models--oriented for on-road driving--both powered by a 5. 6-liter V-8 with 320 horsepower and 393 pound-feet of torque, teamed to a five-speed automatic transmission.
