Child cancer patient’s cash stolen, sheriff says A Chalmette man was arrested after he allegedly stole about $100 in donations collected for a 3-year-old cancer patient. Kevin Toups, 36, is suspected of stealing the money from a donation canister on a counter at a gas station at Paris Road and Judge Perez Drive. Warrant obtained for suspect in girl’s assault A warrant has been obtained for a 23-year-old man suspected of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl at gunpoint. Andrew Hunter Jr. , 23, is suspected of assaulting the girl about 5:45 a. m. Oct. Hunter forced the girl into a room where he bound her hands and assaulted her, police said. A warrant has been issued for Hunter on charges of aggravated rape, aggravated assault with a firearm and false imprisonment.
