, sheriff’s deputy found Anthony G. Parsons, 25, and Frankie H. Collins, 17, near Mount Shasta Resort just after midnight Monday. The deputy also spotted a maroon 2001 Dodge pickup with a maroon camper shell, a sheriff’s office news release said. Parsons was wanted for the June 15 robbery of the Maverik gas station at 1899 Highway 26 in Gooding. Parsons and Collins were both wanted for the June 22 robbery of an AM/PM store in Stayton, Ore. Police said that Parsons walked into the mini mart armed with a rifle equipped with a scope and that Collins was armed with a knife. The store’s security footage captured a 2001 Dodge pickup with an Idaho license plate 4L910. The truck was reported stolen in Lincoln County. Parsons has been transported to the Siskiyou County Jail in Yreka, Calif. , where he was charged with armed robbery, theft, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, weapons-related charges and auto theft. Jose Alfredo Castaneda, 40, of Oakley was initially charged with three counts of lewd conduct with a child younger than 16, but two of the counts were dropped and another was reduced to sexual abuse as part of a plea deal.
