James Kirchner, 54, was heading northbound on Interstate 65 in his Jeep Liberty when he crashed into a concrete support pillar from the Fern Valley Road overpass, said chief deputy coroner Jo-Ann Farmer. The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died of multiple blunt force injuries around 2 p. m. Sunday, she said. Driving southbound on Dixie Highway in her Honda Accord, Arnold "lost control of her vehicle," crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic and struck a northbound vehicle head on, Farmer said. Arnold was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, near Katherine Station Road. She was pronounced dead at 5:21 p. m. of multiple blunt force injuries. Source: www.courier-journal.com
