WATERTOWN — A Baltimore man faces multiple charges after he allegedly led city police on a high-speed chase early Saturday. Dominique Carter, 24, was charged by city police with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, third-degree fleeing an officer and multiple vehicle and traffic violations. Police said Mr. Carter used a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee belonging to Brittany Harris without her permission to flee a marked police car with lights and sirens active. He allegedly accelerated to speeds of 75 mph in a 30 mph zone, passing numerous red lights and stop signs while occasionally driving in the middle of the road. Police said the chase ended when Mr. Carter struck a parked 2001 Ford Suburban belonging to David Thomson, 233 Palmer St. , damaging the vehicle, a storage shed and a picnic table in the process.
