MANALAPAN – A 60-year-old township man died after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Route 33, authorities said. At approximately 10:11 p. m. on Tuesday, a 2009 Jeep Patriot being driving by a 27-year-old woman from Matawan was traveling east on Route 33 when struck a pedestrian near the intersection of Woodward Road, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office... The victim – a 60-year-old Manalapan man – was taken to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township where he died as a result of unspecified injuries he sustained in the crash, the prosecutor's office said.
