Kia said that the recall is due to the capacitor on the circuit board of the 2016 Kia Sorento and it seems that in some cases this hasn’t been soldered on properly. Kia said that they will be replacing the accelerator pedal assembly in any 2016 Kia Sorento that has been affected.
