Konrad Planning Multi-Car Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Effort - Sportscar365

Konrad Motorsport is set for a return to endurance racing next year, with the German squad in the process of finalizing a multi-car Lamborghini Huracán GT3 effort that could stretch across multiple championships in Europe and North America. Team owner Franz Konrad confirmed to German sports car Web site GT-Eins that he’s placed an order for three of the new V10-powered supercars, with preliminary plans to contest the Blancpain Endurance Series, as well as other possible endurance... Konrad’s proposed effort comes on the heels of its three-car entry in this year’s Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe series, which was added alongside its existing effort in Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. This year’s Super Trofeo effort rekindled his relationship with the Italian manufacturer, which dates back to the early ’90s when the team ran a Lamborghini-powered Group C car in the World Sportscar Championship. The team, which has previously taken part in select TUDOR United SportsCar Championship rounds with Porsche 911 GT Americas, could also play a part in Lamborghini’s expected customer program in IMSA. “Customer interest in the car for the endurance classics is enormous and we have a shop in the U. S. “We could possibly consider doing all four rounds of the North American Endurance Cup. Source: sportscar365.com
