The Lexus GS is a large sedan falling in line beside the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Lexus designers definitely took a very conservative approach to the GS. Even its spindle grille is subdued in comparison to the IS and RC sedan and coupe. Then again, Lexus is probably extremely smart for offering two appearances for its sedans, catering to the different buyers that frequent Lexus showrooms.
