Golden explained that it takes very little moisture to breed mosquitoes. “A soda cap of water can breed hundreds of mosquitoes,” he said. Mosquito Squad has an array of sprays available to treat mosquito-prone areas, including chemical and all-natural versions. The chemical sprays, by contrast, “kill them off,” Golden said. He and his technicians use a “knock-down” spray to kill off the first wave of insects, then a “micro-capsule” spray that slowly releases a mosquito and pest repellant for 21 days. In addition, Golden provides “event sprays,” treating entire outdoor areas the day before an event to make them “as bug-free as possible. “I’m providing a service that people actually want,” Golden said.
