The moderately redesigned in 2013 Lexus GS350 returns this year, although sporting much of last year’s features this luxury sport sedan is ready to take on the likes of Mercedes E Class, Audi A6, BMW 5 series, and the Cadillac CTS. Generally Lexus has not competed well in this class, but with the new front end styling, or the face of Lexus and upgrades in how the vehicle handles, have taken the GS from an afterthought in this class to a must drive, when looking for a... Having had the opportunity to drive the GS in each of past 3 years, we would highly recommend taking it for a test drive if you’re looking for a nice luxury sport vehicle. Last year Lexus had added 6 ponies to the motor and an additional 6-foot pounds of torque to the V6 power plant, coming in at 306 horsepower and 277 ft-lbs of torque. One of Craig’s favorite parts of the drive was the way that Lexus had designed the engine noise so that you could really hear the throaty low end rumble when you really pushed down on the accelerator, pushing the 350 to it’s limit of performance. Lexus funnels the awesome racing sounds of the motor towards the cabin, giving you that real ‘high performance vehicle’ feel as you push through the gears with the included paddle shifters in the F Sport.
