Lexus joined that group with the arrival of the 2015 NX series. Available in conventional format as the 200t with a turbocharged, four-cylinder engine (the first for a Lexus) or as the 300h, a hybrid with a four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, the NX is loosely based on the platform that also... The design of the NX is a distinct departure from the conservative style associated with the brand. From the corporate spindle grill bracketed by L-shaped LED light clusters to the prominent and unique taillights, this SUV stands out. One neat little touch is the visual absence of a key slot on the front doors. Approach the NX and the doors unlock the instant you touch the door handle. Or you can press a button on the fob and open one or all doors. The interior is Lexus-worthy.
