VSP identifies two killed in accident on US-220 in Eagle Rock - WSLS

EAGLE ROCK (WSLS 10) – Two people killed in an accident on Route 220 in Botetourt County were identified by state police Tuesday evening. State police said 26-year-old Justin T. Brandt and 21-year-old Ronald D. Puller, III, both of Clifton Forge, died at the scene. Jason Ferguson with Botetourt County Fire-EMS said the head-on collision happened around 12:43 Tuesday afternoon in the 14000 block of Botetourt Road/Route 220 – a narrow, two-lane stretch of road. VSP said Brandt was driving a 1992 Mazda Protégé south on Route 220 when a northbound 2000 Ford Mustang crossed the center line and hit Brandt head-on. She was wearing her seat belt and was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Lifeguard 10. Virginia State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called to assist.
