The report stated that Hunter was traveling south on Old Clarksville Pike in a 1991 Mazda pickup and crossed the center line, striking a guardrail on the northbound side. A 2011 Volvo dump truck, driven by Richard Lyle, 57, of Erin, was traveling northbound and negotiating a curve. According to the report, Hunter crossed the center line again while negotiating a curve and traveled back into the southbound lane. Lyle attempted to steer into the southbound lane, while Hunter was still in the northbound lane, to avoid a collision but was unable to do so, the report stated. Lyle's vehicle came to a final rest partially in the roadway, while Hunter's vehicle came to a final rest off the roadway in the ditch line. Source: www.tennessean.com
