The previous, second-generation Mazdaspeed3 ended production a few years ago. I think Mazda does indeed listen to its potential customers, but remember it is a small car company, not one of these behemoths like Toyota, so everything takes more time. If they did not listen, the 2017 MS3 would be FWD, like the last generation. I have figured out in the last decade or so that Mazda seems to be filled with perfectionists.
