Mazda Koeru Crossover Concept Teased Before Frankfurt Debut - Automobile
Like most Mazda concept cars, the Mazda Koeru is likely a close preview for an upcoming production model. As the current three-row Mazda CX-9 crossover is scheduled to be redesigned soon, the Koeru’s dramatic styling, which falls in line with Mazda’s “Kodo” design language, may hint at that model’s new look. A replacement for the midsize, two-row CX-7 that was discontinued in 2012 is possible, as is a new CX-4 or CX-6 model that would be a sportier, coupe-like version of the existing CX-5, in the vein of the BMW X4 or X6.
