Davida Nicholson died at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at 9:07 a. m. , less than an hour after the 8:23 a. m. shooting at the TVA Employees Credit Union, 1316 Wilson Road, in North Knoxville, according to Knoxville Police Department... Police charged Brandon James Johnson, 20, with felony murder in Nicholson's death. Johnson also faces one count of attempted first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault stemming from the assault of others at the credit union, DeBusk said. Nicholson was in the driver's seat of a silver Mazda B4000 pickup truck when using an ATM at the credit union, DeBusk said. She tried to drive away, but Johnson shot her with one of two handguns he carried, DeBusk said. Nicholson crashed the pickup truck into the corner of the credit union building near the ATMs. Johnson then opened fire on William Letsinger, 36, of Knoxville, DeBusk said. "One round went through the window, the passenger window, just missing the driver," DeBusk said. Johnson fired several rounds in the parking lot at Shane Phillips, 39, of Dandridge and Diane Largent, 44, of Knoxville, according to authorities. DeBusk said the rounds also missed their vehicles.
